WORKTOP
CHOICE
1) Schock Cristallite - these are worktops which are made by
using a high concentration of quartz, (the hardest component in granite)
colour pigments and high quality acrylic as a building resin.
The product is supplied in a palette of colours; from subdued pastels
to deep luminous tones. These colours create a new aesthetic accents
in modern kitchen design.
The material is extremely durable, its colour with stands the intense
light of the sun, and is very hygienic.
You are able to cut and chop directly on the surface without fear of
damage.
2) CORIAN This is a material created over 25 years ago by DUPONT
of the U.S.A. Corian can be cut, sculpted and thermoformed to create
virtually any shape required. Its features are its seamless joins, seamless
one piece sink bowls, and with a choice of over seventy colours.
Corians non-porous, virtually maintenance free, and can be easily repaired
in almost every case. Cuts, stains, bumps, scratches and burns will
disappear when cleaned with a standard kitchen cleaner pad.
3) GRANITE A natural material known to everyone, not to be confused
with marble which is much softer and very porous. Found at great depths
in the earth, granite is a course grained rock composed chiefly of quartz
and feldspar crystals of varying colours and quantities.
Considering that the kitchen is the hardest work environment in the
house granite is certainly up to the task.
Given care and attention granite worktops will offer a lifetime of service.
4) SOLID TIMBER This offers the beauty and warmth of natural
wood which can be fabricated to meet almost any design or requirement.
The wood can be treated in a variety of finishes for any purpose eg;
oil, white oil, soap, lacquer and special laboratory treatment.
Woods available are as follows; oak, maple, beech, larch, jatoba, ash,
pine, mahogany and iroko.
5) LAMINATES We use German suppliers for our high quality laminate
tops.
The main ones being DUROPAL and GETALIT.
The choice of colours from just these two stands at over 100.
